Vivian Simpson Shaw

Vivian Simpson Shaw, 63, of Merigold, MS, passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2017, at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, TN. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 15, 2017, at Ray Funeral Home. Celebration of Life Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 16, 2017, at Ray Funeral Home with Rev. Dexter Brown officiating. Interment will be held in Heavenly Rest Cemetery in Clarksdale, MS.
Mrs. Shaw was born on February 20, 1954 to Hermon Simpson and Lease Hudson Jones in Coahoma County. She was married to Mr. Tommie Lee Shaw, Sr.. Mrs. Shaw enjoyed spending time in the kitchen cooking for friends and family and when she wasn't in the kitchen she was playing one of her favorite computer games, Cookie Jam Blast. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren whenever she was able to.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Tommie Lee Shaw, Sr. and parents, Hermon Simpson and Lease Jones.
Mrs. Shaw is survived by her children, Isaac Shaw (Shaquania) of Batesville, MS, Tommie Lee Shaw, Jr. of Merigold, MS, Gary Shaw of Merigold, MS,  and Joyce Shaw of Merigold, MS; grandchildren, Doneshia Burns, Treyshon Shaw, Chandler Ross, Elizabeth Lofton, Kaylan Shaw, and Sha'Niya Shaw; bothers, Leroy Bangs, and Calvin Jones of Merigold, MS; and sisters, Estella Winters, Maxine Jones, Carolyn Jones, and Doristein Starnes.
Pallbearers will be Calvin Jones, Steven Jones, Bobby Black, Carlton James, Jessie Jones, and Roy Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be Roy Martin, Sr., Terry Jones, and Larry Jones.
