Wanda Kay Pulliam, 47, of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, January 4, 2014, at University Medical Center in Jackson. Visitation will be 10:00-11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 7, 2014, at Church of Faith. Celebration of Life services will be 11:00 Tuesday, January 7, 2014, at Church of Faith. Interment will follow in Itta Bena Cemetery at 1:30 p.m.
Mrs. Pulliam was born in Falfurrias, TX on January 4, 1967, to Ruben Cuevas Soto and Eloise Price Soto. She worked many years as a waitress, loved to sew, host and plan parties, watching TV, coloring, and dancing. She enjoyed 80's music and Gospel music. Her favorite song was "Girls Just Want to Have Fun". Her biggest love was for her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters, Jessica Kay Soto (James Fortenberry) of Carthage, TX and Rebecca Lois Jerkins (Thomas) of Platte City, MO; son, David Harold Pulliam, Jr. of Greenville, MS; grandchildren, Mason Cornelius Fortenberry, Emily Nicole Fortenberry, Kimberly Ann Fortenberry, Elijah Harold Jerkins, Cameron Edward Jerkins, and one on the way; mother, Eloise Soto of Boyle, MS; sisters, Carolyn Ray Goss (Loyd) of Renova, MS, Mary Eloise Vandeventer (David Hendricks) of Bloomfield, IN, and Tammy Rena Soto (Renel Hays) of Renvoa, MS; brothers, George A. Staten of Indianapolis, IN and Herbert D. Soto of Tupelo, MS; and the father of her children, David Harold Pulliam, Sr.
