William Eley

William Alexander Eley, Jr. "Bill", 62, of Jackson, MS, formerly of Cleveland, MS, passed away August 27, 2011. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at Ray Funeral Home. Services will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. at Ray Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Macklyn Hubbell officiating. Burial will be in North Cleveland Cemetery.
Mr. Eley was born in Memphis, TN on March 29, 1949 to Dr. William Alexander Eley, Sr. and Kathryn Lyell Taylor Eley. He loved music and played the trumpet by ear.
He is preceded in death by his father, Dr. William Alexander Eley, Sr.
He is survived by his mother, Kitty Eley of Cleveland, MS; brothers, Steve Eley (Kim) of Orlando, FL and Bob Eley (Burnice) of Cleveland, MS; sister, Katrena Eley Fowler (Lawrence Bodron) of Vicksburg, MS; nieces and nephews, Steven M. Eley, Kristen Eley, Lara Barkley (Ross), Carolyn Eley, Alexandra Folwer Gaye (Alan) and Nicholas Fowler; and a great nephew, Samuel Evans Barkley.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mississippi State Hospital at Whitfield, MS.
