William Logan

William C. "Billy" Logan, Jr., died Saturday, October 19, 2013, at North Sunflower Medical Center of cancer. Visitation will be 1:00-3:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 22, 2013, at Ray Funeral home with services immediately following beginning at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 22, 2013, at Ray Funeral Home with Bro. Tom Hazzard officiating. Interment will follow in Drew City Cemetery.
He was born on November 14, 1947, to William Logan, Sr. and Inez Wilson Logan. He was raised in Rosedale, MS. Billy was a retired Lieutenant on the Cleveland Police Department. He was a US Army Veteran of Vietnam where he was awarded the bronze star with V Device for Valor, The Silver Star, and the Purple Heart for being shot in combat.
Billy was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by three sons, Cliff Logan (Jamie) of Cleveland, Chris Logan Divide, CO, and Josh Logan of Cleveland; one daughter, Magan Lindsey Logan of Merigold; two grandsons, Keifer Logan of Cleveland and Ethan Logan of Divide, CO; one granddaughter, Kensley Logan of Cleveland; two brothers, Jerry Logan of Rosedale and Ricky Logan of Grenada; and one sister Paula Maines of Beulah.
Billy was Post Commander of the VFW Post 5168 in Forsyth, MO. He was a member of the Purple Heart Chapter 748 of Forsyth, MO, DAV Chapter of Forsyth, MO and Lake Taneycomo Elks Chapter2597 of Forsyth, MO.
Pallbearers will be Terry Trotter, Rob Linkous, Mitch Millican, Frank Goss, Mark Hall, and Tim Burchfield.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Joe Lee Bassie, Tommy Taylor, Randy Townsend, Jeff Overstreet and Ronnie Livingston.
