William Quinn Correro, 70, of Cleveland, Miss., died at the home of his daughter, Christy Correro Havens (Josh), on Nov. 19, 2020, with family members present. Because of Covid-19 precautions, a family-only Mass of Christian Burial, celebrated by Fr. Kent Bowlds, will be held on Nov. 24, at Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church in Cleveland.
Quinn, graduated from Cleveland High School in 1968, and earned an Associate of Science degree in electronics from Mississippi Delta Community College in 1970. He married Cindy Weeks Correro on Sept. 5, 1976, in Cleveland, and they had two children, Christy C. Havens (Josh) and Jon Paul Correro (Samantha). After graduation from MDCC, Quinn worked for the Illinois Central Railroad in Memphis,Tenn., Wills Television & Electronics, Nehi Bottling Co., Baxter Laboratories and Delta State University in Cleveland. He is survived by his daughter Christy C. Havens, grandson Ethan Brown, granddaughter Haley Jones, of Cleveland; son Jon P. Correro (Samantha) and grandson Peyton; brothers Jody (Glenda) of Cleveland and Philip Correro (Fran) of Southaven; and a sister Dorothy C. Sylvester (Pete) of Panama, City, Fla. Quinn also leaves nieces, Dr. Victoria C. Callicutt (Jack) of Roswell, Ga.; Claire Correro of Cleveland; Cindy Crawford Shane (Leon) of Chillicothe, Ill.; Debbie Crawford Talcott (Chris) of Chillicothe, Ill.; Dr. Sarah C. Gordon (Ronnie); and Lucy C. Lasher (Gee) of Olive Branch; nephews Joe Correro (Roianna) of Cleveland; Anthony Correro (Becky) of Alma, Ark. Michel Crawford (Rene) of Chillicothe, Ill.; Kevin Boyd (Debbie) of Bartonville, Ill. Patrick Boyd of Queens, N.Y., and Greg Sims (Tifany) of Panama City, Fla., as well as more cousins than Carter had liver pills.
Quinn was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph "Joe" Correro and Willie Ruth Houston Correro; sisters Pam C. Perrien and Patricia C. Crawford. Memorials may be made to Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church Building Fund, 215 Bishop Road, Cleveland, Miss. 38732.
