Faye Gant passed away on April 11, 2024, at the age of 69, in Cleveland, MS. She was born on July 24, 1954, in Cleveland. Faye, lovingly known as "Faye," was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend.
Faye is survived by her husband, James Allen Gant Sr.; son, James Allen Gant Jr.; daughter, Jinny Gant Thompson (Scott); grandson, Jacob Lee Gant; and sister, Nan Goodwin, Ann Carroll and Mazelle Broom. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Harwin Beach and Mary Lucille Savage Beach; and sisters, Mozelle Bond and Gaile Koerperich.
Faye loved her garden, plants and flowers. She enjoyed shopping, spending time with her family, and loved to hear her children sing karaoke. She loved going to eat at her favorite Chinese buffet, it was the last thing she ate before she became ill. She cherished these moments with her loved ones. A moment that her family still laughs about, is when she met Jinny's husband Scott for the first time. They had all gone out to eat and Faye disappeared. They turned around to realize she had fallen in the bushes attempting to smell a flower. Everyone started laughing and Scott asked if it was ok to laugh. She loved flowers and plants so much she fell head over heels for them.
A Private Family Memorial will be held to honor and celebrate the life of Faye Gant. May she rest in peace and her memory be a blessing to all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that you consider a donation to the American Heart Association
