Mrs. Willo Mae Cook Cole, 97, of Cleveland, passed away Friday, April 19, 2013, at Bolivar Medical Center. Visitation will be 10:00 -11:00 a.m Monday, April 22, 2013, at Ray Funeral Home. Celebration of Life services will immediately follow beginning at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 22, 2013, at Ray Funeral Home with Bro. Milton Burd officiating. Interment will be in North Cleveland Cemetery.
Mrs. Cole was born December 14, 1915, in Jonesboro, Arkansas to Joseph Thomas Cook and Fannie Ada Taylor Cook. She married Marion Marshall Cole, Sr. in 1935. She ran a farm store and cooked for all the workers in Tunica. She worked as a bank teller. She enjoyed sewing and pottery. She was also a member of the VFW Auxillary and was a Woman of the Moose Lodge. She dearly loved and cared for her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marion Marshall Cole Sr.; her son, Marion Marshall Cole, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Tove Henriksen Cole; and granddaughter, Hanne Cole Beevers.
Mrs. Cole is survived by her grandchildren, Bente Cole Peacock of Cleveland, Nina Cole Karatzis (Arthur) of Marion, AR, and Marshall Cole (Donna) of Mountain Home, AR; great-grandchildren, Tove Mullins (Ric) of Cleveland, Gracie Peacock of Cleveland, Michael Karatzis (Lindsey) of Paragould, Leftheris Karatzis of Marion, AR; Ourania Karatzis of Marion, AR, Jason Cole (Erin) of Madison, Makenzie Cole of Mountain Home, AR, Lewis Turner (Tara) of Cleveland, and Lucy Turner of Cleveland; and 9 great-great-grandchildren.
