Woodrow Gene Chambless

Mr. Woodrow Gene Chambless, Jr., 45, of Merigold, MS passed away on October 29, 2017, in Rolling Fork, MS. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 31, 2017, at Ray Funeral Home. Celebration of Life Service will follow beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 31, 2017, at Ray Funeral Home with Brother Michael Chamness officiating. Interment will be in private family land in Merigold, MS.
Woodrow was born on July 2, 1972,to Earl and Becky Oswalt in Cleveland, MS. On September 7, 2013, he married Melissa Hope Kluka in Cleveland, MS. Woodrow loved his job in construction as a concrete finisher. When he wasn't at work, he was playing dominoes in his spare time or learning more about his favorite animal, the tiger.He was a caring and compassionate man to everyone that came along his path.
He is preceded in death by his grandmothers, Dorothy Hooker and Birdell Oswalt.
Mr. Chambless is survived by his beloved wife Melissa Chambless; children, Dusty Verdin, Jody Chambless, Woody Chambless, and Justin Chambless; parents, Earl and Becky Oswalt; sisters, Cynthia Frith, Ashley Oswalt, and Angela Pettigrew; nieces, Carmen Roberson, Shelley Frith, and Alivya Robinson; and nephews, Logan Roberson and Sammy Frith.
Pallbearers will be Jason Givens, Dakota Blades, Tucker Leroy, Tommy Hooker, Don Hooker, Jr., and Russell Hall.
