Obituary of Jerry Lynn Hardin
Mr. Jerry Lynn Hardin, 72, of Boyle, MS, passed away on July 23, 2019, at his home. Graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 27, 2019, at Merigold Cemetery with Brother Ike Raley officiating.
Jerry was born on August 25, 1946, to David and Earlie Mae Hardin in Merigold, MS. He worked as a Agriculture Pilot for many years in Bolivar County. He proudly served his country in the Navy during the Vietnam war. Jerry served on the U.S.S. Galveston, which was a Cleveland Class light cruiser, as a radar controller. He was a member of the American Legion and the VFW. His passions in life were flying, hunting, and fishing. Jerry loved his dogs, tinkering with objects, and was always curious on how things worked.
He is preceded in death by his parents, David and Earlie Hardin.
Jerry is survived by his son, Jerry Lynn Hardin, Jr. (Angel) of Cleveland; daughter, Dallas Lefebvre (Chris) of St. Augustine, FL; brothers, Charles David Hardin (C.L.) and Billy Wayne Hardin (Genine); nephews, Pat Hardin and Michael Hardin; nieces, Shannon Oglesby and Charlie Hardin; and six grandchildren.
