Carolyn Ann Welshans
Carolyn A. Welshans 60, of Rosedale passed away at her home on November 26, 2019. A visitation honoring her life will be held on November 29, 2019 from 10:00a.m. to 11:00a.m. at Ray Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 11:00a.m. at Ray Funeral Home. A burial will take place at the Beulah Cemetery.
Ms. Carolyn was born December 7, 1958 to Mr. Wallace Alfred Welshans Jr. and Mrs. Gladys Morgan Welshans Barnes of Rosedale, MS. She was the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. W.H. Morgan Sr. of Morgan City, MS and Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Alfred Welshans Sr. of Rosedale, MS.
Ms. Carolyn Welshans graduated from Bayou Academy, and then she went on to attend Mississippi State University. After college, she worked for Deposit Guaranty Bank in Greenville, MS and Johnson Big Wheel in Madison, MS. She also worked for Branch Animal Clinic. After working there, she went back to school at Delta State University, and later earned her Relator’s License. After receiving her license, she sold real estate for Lee Speaks and Lynn Pace Real Estate. Carolyn was a member of Rosedale Presbyterian Church.
Ms. Carolyn is preceded in passing by her father, Mr. Wallace Alfred Welshans Jr., her late grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. W.H. Morgan Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Alfred Welshans Sr.
She is survived by her mother, Gladys Morgan Welshans Barnes, stepfather, Joe Barnes, brother, Al Welshans (Suzanne), stepsisters; Linda Barnes Wilfling, Julie Brown (Mike), niece, Olivia Welshans, nephews; Matthew Welshans, and Nicholas Welshans.
Pallbearers will be Jim Adams, Phillip Adams, Bill Lewis, Robert Crump, Jodie Gibson, Jack Coleman, Dixon Dossett, and Lee Speakes.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bolivar County Animal Shelter or any charity of your choice.
